I’ve been in the Army for 2 years, and facing my first deployment to Africa in the coming April! I would like to know what it’s like to go on a deployment and for women of color how did you manage your hair on a deployment? And how did you prepare for a deployment? Me and my husband will be married for a year once I leave and then I leave for a year. How did you all manage stress and heartache being away from your spouse? Any and all advice is greatly appreciated!
