Did the majority of your guests purchase from your registry?

My baby shower is in 2 weeks and we have about 52ish guests who have RSVPed. So far, only 6 have purchased a gift from our registry (including my mom lol, who bought already like 20 things from our registry! 🙈🤣). 
Just curious if this is standard, do guests normally wait to buy last minute, or do most go and get something not from the registry??

Yep. Because I have specifically stated several times to NOT bring anything unless it’s off the list. If it’s not on the list, I don’t need it and if it’s on the list and you don’t buy from it, I end up with multiple of the same product, because some do buy off the list. When a product is both of the list, it disappears so someone else can’t buy it again. When people think “ meh, I’ll just go and buy it from Walmart “ they mess up everything..
If it’s not on the list, don’t buy it. If it’s on the list, BUY IT FROM THERE OR DONT BUY ANYTHING.
It’s simple. But I also made sure to have plenty of low cost items along with the medium and more expensive items. That way EVERYONE can get something without breaking bank and still feel ok because they got something.
Lastly , I made sure that everyone knows to only buy IF THEY CAN AND IF THEY WANT TO. gifts were not mandatory nor encouraged. But if you bought something, it absolutely had to be from the list.

I always buy from the registry. For both my baby showers every body bought from registry but most of the people waited till the day of the shower to buy.

I think it’s odd when people go off registry, except in the case of handmade gifts like blankets & whatnot. But you’re bound to have at least ONE person to do it.

I never purchase from a registry. No one who came did either. But I still got everything I needed.

About half of mine did.. There was also a lot of last minute shoppers because my registry only had like 20 things bought from it a few days before the shower. I also think last minute shoppers tend to grab a lot of baby clothes. We needed up getting everything we needed though.
I personally try to buy a few things from the registry and a few not on it. (super cute things I can't pass up)

I always buy some off the registry but I also like to gift things that were must haves for me if they don’t have something similar/to replace it...halo sleep swaddles, lanolin and a nursing cover for BF mamas etc...sometimes people don’t add much to the registry so I’ll supplement. My guess is they’re just last minute...everywhere has 2 day shipping or in store pick up, no one buys until the last minute

About half did off mine. I had 3 showers and it was a mix of registry stuff and non for all 3 of them 🤷🏻‍♀️
