Conversations with my 4 yr old.

Misty

I picked my 4 yr old up from my grandparents (he calls them grammy and poppy, this is important) so we're having a normal conversation about his day at school etc. and as I'm about to pull into our drive way he says...

Him: "mommy did poppy die"

Me: "no baby you just left poppys hes fine"

Him: "but he's going to soon"

Me" "son who told you that"

Him: "nobody i just know"

😳😳

So tonight we went out to eat and on our way home he says....

Him: "daddy can you turn the light on I can see ghosts and scary stuff"

Me: "you see what"

Him: "i see a ghost beside our car"

His dad: "what is the ghosts name"

Him: "its paw" (paw is my dad, who he sees daily so he knows he hasnt passed away)

His dad: "paw isnt a ghost tho and hes at home"

Him: "he will be one day tho"

😳

Anyone else's toddler say things like this? My son talks about death/ghosts sooo often lately. Nobody has talked to him about it and nobody close to us had passed recently to make him ask questions. I don't really know what to say to him! Is it normal? Hes my oldest so i have no experience with this.
