Does it hurt to have an epidural?

I said yes but it’s no where near as bad as the contractions and it’s over quickly- I’m doing it again with this baby for SURE!

It’s not a walk in the park - but (for me), I would say that you mostly feel a bee sting prick at first, and then a lot of pressure. It’s definitely worth it.

I would say more uncomfortable than anything. Pain wise it wasn’t that bad.

That’s like a trick question. The epidural is such a relief compared to the pain you will be in that it almost doesn’t matter! I don’t even remember it

Not really. I felt a slight pinch but its nothing compared to having contractions

It didn't hurt, it was just scary because the lady was an idiot. I was sitting on a pillow during it, I wasn't really aware of it because I was in so much pain. Anyways, when she was trying to get the needle in the right spot she kept saying my spine was crooked, and I kept having to tell her that when she was poking away my right leg was tingling meaning she wasn't in the correct spot. Then my husband told her about the pillow, ah hah moment 🙄.  So anyways, I was contracting, dizzy, and getting mild panic attack from the fear or what the hell she was doing. But it didn't hurt

I didnt feel it as it was in between contractions that were very close together..that pain must of over took it..lol and after ouffffff what a relief. I wont wait as long as i did this time around. But i think also wait a little so contractions over take the needle pain lol

Its not getting licked on by unicorns by any means.  But way better than dealing with contractions and the relief afterwards is worth it.
