If you have to clean it because there is no one else to do so, wear a breathing mask that has filters-not a simple blue mask and gloves. Wash your hands extremely well afterwards. 
Sometimes it can’t be helped that you have to do it yourself but I agree with the other ladies, if someone else lives in the home, it’s now their job.
