My husband and I are moving across the country soon, a very big move. My parents have graciously decided to throw us a going-away party, which will have about 40 guests. I’m cool with that, but I commented that I don’t want anyone holding our daughter as it’s the start of flu season and she’s only 2 months old. Yes, she’s had her first round of shots-but still! I don’t want it to turn into hot potato pass the baby. My mom said I’m being overly concerned and unfair, since we’re moving 1,000 miles away and will not see anyone for probably a while.

Am I though? I have no problem telling people they can’t hold her. But am I being “overly concerned?”
