What Happened? 😭

My baby was so easy going for the first month. He only cried when he was hungry. He will be 7 weeks on Wednesday and the past few days he just cries and cries for no reason in between feeds and it’s all day long 😭. Today was his first day of daycare and they just kept giving him a bottle to help calm him. They ended up giving him 22 ounces of breast milk because of it 😳. Like, that’s almost his whole 24 hour intake within 9 hours.

They are going through major growing mentally at this time. The thing is babies cry, they are new to everything and that’s their only expression. I would talk to your director of the daycare about what happened though. That should not be what goes on every time a baby cries and is not good for the baby. It not only stretches their stomache, give them a belly ache, and can teach them if done long enough to comfort eat which isn’t good either.

Ours seems to go through phases of colic. Sometimes we just find ourselves frantically trying to make sure he isn’t too hot or cold, overstimulated and needing swaddling, gassy, et cetera before just giving in to the crying. Ugh. It’s hard.

Same thing here. 7 weeks tomorrow and it’s been a rough past couple of weeks. They’re going through mental leaps and physical growth spurts.
Today was actually better for him. More sleep, less crying. Phew.
