My naturally red hair has been turning thick and black over the past few months... I am mixed white and Brazilian but ever since birth have had blazing red hair, with the strands being quite fair and thin. As of a few months ago I've been noticing increasing amounts of thick, black wiry hairs growing from my head that fade to red at the tips. Some are fully black! These strands are the same curl pattern, colour and texture as my Brazilian father's. I'm only barely 22 and neither of my parents started greying until their early 40's so I don't think it's that. Is it possible for hair colour to change completely in adulthood?

The top picture is from last November and the bottom was yesterday. My hair now is considerably darker!!

Has this happened to anyone else?????? I'm scared to lose my red!
