Do you judge someone based on how clean their home is?

Michele

Okay, I’m a self-identifying clean freak. I have matte white tiled floors all throughout our ground floor, white kitchen cupboards, white stone countertops, etc. I keep everything clean enough to eat off. Saying that, I don’t like organising (putting away laundry is my nightmare). I have no kids (yet) and only work part time because my husband and I own a company and I do all of the office work. So I have TIME to clean but even when I worked full time if I knew someone was coming over the house would be SPOTLESS.

When you walk into someone’s house, especially if they had far advanced warning company was coming (a few days/week ahead), do you notice if their house is clean, cluttered, dirty, messy, etc?

Like kids toys around, isn’t a big deal. A sink full of dishes? Gross. Basket of clean laundry in the living room? Fine by me. Visibly grimy bathroom sink? Unacceptable.

What do you guys notice about how clean someone’s home is?

Wow I think my post was wildly misinterpreted. The specific question above says “if someone has advanced warning, like days or a week notice.” If I stop by someone’s house unannounced (I never would do that though) I don’t expect it to be cleaned to perfection (mine sure wouldn’t be!). However if you invite people over and it’s DIRTY is what I’m referring to.
