How common is the name Kaysen?

Thinking about renaming my son because I feel like the name Kaysen is super common and I thought it was unique...

My son’s name is Kasen. He is almost 12 though, so I’m not sure how common it is now. It wasn’t common at all when I had him. 😊

I know two, one spelled Casen and one spelled Cayson.

I’ve heard the name but not a lot it’s actually on my sisters list of baby boy names it’s actually the only name on her list that I love

It’s one of those names where it’s really hard to gauge how popular it is, because it has so many different spellings. You’d have to look up the number of births for Cason Kason Caison Kayson Kasen Casen Caysen etc etc etc, and then add them all together to really get a sense of how common it is.
What I do know is that even after adding all the numbers for all these names together, it still isn’t a top 50 name. For reference, the #50 boy name was given to about 1 in 300 babies. So this name is less common that that.
So... is it rare? No. But is it popular? I’d say no, not really.

A friend just had her baby the 15th and named him Kasen! I had never heard the name before that

It’s a good name and you obviously loved it enough to name your son that name. I wouldn’t change it just because it’s not “unique” enough.
