My friends did a tiny wedding on their front porch, spent less than $100, and it was really cute. A friend got ordained and officiated. So you could always do something like that if you wanted to have a personal location with less cost and fuss

A courthouse is always “acceptable”- anything you want is because it’s your wedding. And your age doesn’t need to matter at all. I’m 30 and my fiancé is almost 33. I have such anxiety when it comes to weddings and I don’t want to deal with all the finances and planning, so my first choice is getting married in my cousins backyard on her dock overlooking the river by my friend who is ordained with just my friend who is a photographer and my cousin and her husband as our 2 witnesses. Next is justice of the peace. Figure we can have a vow renewal in 5-10 years when we have kids so they can be there and everyone can celebrate a party then: I was the flower girl in my parents wedding so I would love it if my kids could get to be a part of it, but since I don’t have them right now down the line will do for a celebration but right now for legalities. Good luck to you! And don’t let anyone talk you out of what you want to do. You do what’s best for you :)
