Does it ever stop?!

So I was on hormonal birth control for 12ish years and finally switched to Paragard in May. I know it’s normal to have heavier cramping and bleeding with any iud but my question is...does it ever stabalize or is this just my new normal? I’m bleeding for like 9 days each cycle and when it’s at its heaviest, like today, I have to use a pad along with tampons because I can completely soak a super tampon in 2 hours 😫

If this is how it’s going to be, I may have to consider having it removed and going back to the pill because I can’t handle this while teaching full time, raising two small children, and trying to manage another health condition (MS)
