Question

My son is 3.5, and his sister is 6 months. 
My son has been out of control the last couple months. Although he has always been a BUSY child. He was walking at 9 months and into everything by 12 months. He has always been doing things way ahead of time. 
He doesn’t listen, you can tell him not to touch the tv screen and he will intentionally turn around and touch it. 
He likes to take sticks or anything like looks like swords and hit stuff outside (whatever is laying around) 
He laughs when you spank him and tell him no.
I am literally at whits end with this. I don’t know what else to do.. of course my brother talks shit and tells me I’m not a good mom because he has such perfect kids. 
Can someone please tell me I’m not the only one with a terror child ? 😭 it makes it even worse because I cannot devote all my time to him as I have a breastfed 6 month old, who needs a lot of my time as well. My husband works all day and is barely involved with the kids, so I’m basically a single mom.

My son is playing up and being naughty and I find it's since my second child has been born, esp when they cry and the attention is on baby my eldest plays up more.
I find that if I do a time out (minute for every year old they are - so I do two min) and he hates it I put him back on the step every time he gets off or tries to move and the clock stops each time he moves and restarts when back on the step.  If not I take his tablet away and he does not have it for a day or two.  Hope that helps you for ideas ☺️

Have you tried putting him in his bed for time out. My son is very active. Stopping him from moving was the worst thing for him. I used to give one warning, on the second straight in his bed. If he had to go in there 3x he was staying in there. He needs to know your serious when you say something, and at 3.5 he is old enough to start learning.

He obviously doesn’t care about getting spanked so it will only make you feel more aggressive towards him which will make him act out more. I would try making him sit on a chair in silence. Make him stay on the chair without moving and being silent for 3.5 minutes (equivalent to his age) and then reward him for calming down.

If you are spanking him, why would you expect him to listen to you? Using physical aggression against your child just shows that you have no control over yourself and therefore no control over him. 
If you want him to behave kindly, be the example. Hitting him and yelling at him is not going to make your child well behaved. 
Try looking into Positive Parenting. There are other ways to discipline. Good luck!
