Period after IUD insertion?
I had a Paraguard (non-hormonal) IUD inserted 3 days ago. I bled lightly after insertion, and now I’m bleeding a little heavier and the blood smells like period blood (it’s weird, I know but my postpartum blood smelled different, and the bleeding after insertion didn’t have a smell). Has anyone else had an IUD inserted and started their period soon after?
I’m doing EBF so I didn’t expect to have a period for a while.
