Is it bad that I just feel gross when I’m pregnant?

I am beyond grateful that we are blessed enough to be able to conceive and carry healthy babies, however pregnancy has not been the most comfortable experience for me personally. I hear stories of people who never had sickness or aches or pains but such has not been the case for me. I’m 35, on my second pregnancy and had my first at 34 and I also work full time while taking care of my one year old. Maybe it is because I’m an older mom? Don’t get me wrong, it is worth it to have beautiful healthy children but damn do I feel nasty in general when I’m pregnant.

Nausea, bloating, gas, diarrhea, the boobs, the extra skin after childbirth, immune system weaker, anemia, hot flashes, back, hip, pubic bone pain, hormones galore, feeling like a whale in clothes, uncomfortable to sleep later in the pregnancy and then of course the postpartum phase where you feel like you’ve been in a car accident after giving birth and while it takes weeks to heal you are spending many sleepless nights with a newborn and trying to figure out breastfeeding which can also be painful.

Ok, on most days I embrace the pregnant “glow” but just wanted to put my real feelings out there. Not my intention to offend anyone, it’s just one of those days where I wanted to do a little pregnant venting. Thanks for reading my rant and I genuinely wish everyone a wonderful pregnancy!
