Condoms

Ladiesss, I wanna start carrying condoms in my purse/backpack just so, you know, when it happens and there’s no condoms I have a backup. But since my boyfriend is always the one providing them I know NOTHING about condoms and I wanna be the safest I could be. I tried looking at reviews online but tbh nothing convinces me and I’m to paranoid it’ll break. I don’t really wanna ask him because just so if it ever happens I can kinda surprise him. Any suggestions?
