Flu shot safe?

Has anyone heard from their OB if it’s safe. My apt with them isn’t until a couple more weeks. From what I googled it seems fine as long as it’s inactive ?🤷‍♀️

My doctor told me they would give it to me at my first appointment as long as I don’t have it already. I’m 5 weeks 3 days. All flu shots are inactive flu virus which is why you can’t get the flu from the shot!

It is recommended and safe. I’m a NICU nurse and just got mine. But yes do not get the live one (which is the nasal spray).

I got mine because I was going to be flying for work and didnt want to get sick. My ob highly recommend it. And at the office I simply told them I was pregnant.

Please do your research. No shot for pregnant women is safe. It is unethical to do any studies on pregnant women and shots. There have been cases of miscarriage and getting the flu shot.

I would ask which brand they use, and so further research. The insert should indicate whether it’s been tested for safety in pregnant women

My OB office recommends the flu shot.  This will be my 3rd pregnancy having one.  I’ve never had any issues.
