Late period negative tests?

Hi everyone!

This is my first month off birth control and TTC. Obviously we are not expecting to get pregnant within the first month, considering it can take several months for my cycle to get back to normal never mind get pregnant.

However my period is 3 days late. When I’ve been off birth control in the past, my period is almost never late. I tested yesterday and the day before but they both came back negative. So I guess my questions are: has anyone been late on their period, gotten several negatives, and still became pregnant? And, have any of you gotten pregnant the first month after stopping birth control?
