Just need to vent

There was a rare moment 2 weekends ago when both of our immediate families were together (my husband and me’s) basically everyone we would tell if something bad were to happen. So we decided to go ahead and announce to them all at once. Just some background info my parents are separated and not on good terms so historically if we told one something before the other they’d be pissed.

So anyway we decided to tell everyone all at once.

We told them and literally no one budged. My dad asked if we were serious and that was it. My mom ignored me even when I went up to her and then later on told me she was mad at me for not telling her before everyone else.

We have a son who everyone loves so I assumed everyone would be excited but it was the most anti climactic announcement ever. It was 2 Sunday’s ago and I’m still sad about it.
