Does anyone else feel like a milk cow?

Does this feeding pattern look normal? I feel like he’s constantly eating or wanting to eat when he’s awake!
He’ll be happy for 20-30min between feeds and then he’ll nurse for 30-40min again. Lots of poops and pees, but I feel like nursing is all I do!

Thanks ladies, he’s 4 weeks old right now. I had such a hard time with my toddler that I feed on demand with this one. He might be feeding for comfort, but I’d rather be safe than sorry.

Yes. I made my husband stop drinking milk bc I cried really hard one night about how bad I felt for all the cows. 12mo later we still don’t drink milk. 😂

I went to see a lactation consultant, she told me to start using one breast per feed and take him off as soon as he stops actively nursing. As a result, his poops are more yellow (sign of better fore/hind milk balance) and I’ve cut the time he nurses in half! He seems happier and I’m much less stressed!

My baby is 4 weeks old and sometimes I feel like all he does is eat too! Especially at the start of night time (starting from like 6PM on). I’ve just assumed it’s cluster feeding at night 🤷‍♀️

It depends on the age of the baby but we definitely have a week here and there like that.  He’s nursing every hour at the moment at 8 weeks old.
