Is an hr drive too far for wedding guests to travel?

Wedding and reception is at the same location so no other travel will be required

1 hour would be too long for me to drive to a wedding I didn’t want to go to to begin with so I’d consider that a plus at my own wedding lol. You really only want the people who REALLY want to be there to come anyways and those people wouldn’t mind an hour drive!

1 hour isn't long at all. But maybe because I'm used to having to drive 1-2 hours to do anything since I've  lived in bum fuck nowhere the majority of my life. So I could be biased.

We had a wedding that was an 8 hour drive or flight for most guests and it was everyone we REALLY wanted there😊

My husband and I drove 7 hours for my brothers wedding in the key west. It was so worth it.

We had guests coming from much further away than that. I would say that if it was a destination wedding and you were expecting everyone to go to that then maybe not but an hour is fine

My wedding was 3 1/2 hrs away from everyone I knew. I got married where I was moving to. A few people have me a hard time about it, and said they wouldn't be able to come because it was too far. They all ended up coming anyway, they said they just couldn't miss it lol I felt kindve bad to do that, but I saved about $4,000 just by having it where I did. Everywhere else back home was too expensive.

My aunt and uncle, cousin, his gf & I drove 2 1/2 hours for our cousins wedding. It was worth it
