Bloody show?

I have been having a lot of issues today. I lost my mucus plug this morning and then went to my normal doctors appointment but I was having preterm labor symptoms so she told me to go straight to the hospital. I was 50% effaced and 1 cm dilated and I have been having contractions that aren’t consistent. I’m home now and I’m having a lot of brown discharge which I figured is happening because I got my cervix checked twice. It’s kind of a lot though and I’m not sure what the difference is or if it even is just because I got my cervix checked.
