For those who had an ECV, was it successful?

If it was one way or the other can you share your experience? My baby is currently franked breeched, and I’m scheduled for an ECV tomorrow evening.

I had one last Tuesday. It was successful. I go back to dr this afternoon so let’s hope all is still good. 
So this is my third pregnancy but second one ended in mc last year October exactly this time. I have a twelve year old. 
Found this little guy frank breech 35 weeks and he’s rather large so basically stuck that way. Still there at 36 so scheduled ECV for 37+2. 
Checked into hospital outpatient surgery area at 630am. They brought me to l&d triage room by 7am. Got a line in me to take some blood and in case anything went wrong and they needed IV, but didn’t give me anything through it. They had me in just hospital gown but with sheet for lower half. Hooked me up to monitor baby’s heart rate and check contractions, same as a nst you may have had before. Laid there in bed about an hour watching tv while they let those run. All was good so dr came in to start the ECV. He did ultrasound to confirm we were still breech and he checked where placenta and cord were located. Mine were good and out of the way and I’ve always had high amounts of amniotic fluid which helps turn baby. He used tons more ultrasound jelly before pressing into my belly and beginning to push baby boy around. A nurse on other side had baby’s bottom as he had head. They got him transverse with his head on my right side. It did hurt as he’s so big I doubt either of us are comfy with him sideways. Holding him from returning breech the dr used other hand to ultrasound and check on him. As they did it the nurse starts saying he’s moving under my hand!! Luckily baby didn’t like transverse and during the moment of ultrasound he continued turning himself into head down position! They were amazed and I was grateful. Finished ultrasound to confirm he was fully head down then they hooked me back to nst for about an hour and a half. Everything stayed good so we were discharged by mid morning. They put me in a belly binder like you’d wear after a c section. It’s not comfy but provides side pressure around me to try and prevent him from being able to do anymore flips. The actual procedure was 5-10 minutes long. It was uncomfortable and briefly painful during the transverse position, but it was quick enough I was able to preoccupy my mind and just bear through it. I know the procedure is controversial on here but I’m glad I tried it and will answer any questions you ladies have about the experience.

My baby was like that at lest the last 4 visits. I’m hoping she did some kind of turn because if not I’m going to try to have an ECV done also. I hope yours is successful.

I personally have never had one bit my friend did. Hers was unsuccessful. It did cause her to pass out twice and her babies heart rate to temporarily plummet. Sounded quite scary.

I have an ECV booked for next Tuesday 5th Nov hoping once she is turned she will stay like it xx
