Any advice for hemorrhoids?

Anyone have any recommendations for home remedies or OTC treatments for relief or to speed up the process? It's both painful and irritating! TIA!

Stay on top of the Preparation-H, internal and external as needed. Also use some stool softeners!

The thing that worked best for me when mine were inflamed was an epsom salt and baking soda bath - put some ice in a cloth and ice the area- alternating back and forth. Sometimes I put lavender essential oil in the bath. If you google there’s a whole list of essential oils that can help with hemorrhoids. Witch hazel/ tucks pads. Over the counter/ prescription cream. Take a daily probiotic. Drink plenty of water. Don’t strain hard when going poo. I use a step stool to be in squatty position as well.

Sitz baths after every bm, stool softener, and baby wipes. I had a 4th degree year after giving birth with them and this combo is the only way I survived. The creams gave me more irritation personally. Warms sitz are key

Dr Butlers ointment from Amazon!  Helped me more than prep H or prescription cream.  Also sitting in a few inches of warm water for 15-20 mins.
