Why do they go
Off of LMP for a DUE DATE
Shouldn’t we go off of ovulation? Or conception? I’m confused.

Most people don’t know 100% when they ovulated and if they know that they don’t know for sure when the baby actually implanted so they just go off the last period 🤷🏼‍♀️

They assume every woman has a cycle of 28 days. So most of the time, even if your cycle is a little shorter or a little longer, it's easier to just go by the lmp, even if your cycle length is different. If you have irregular cycles and don't know when you ovulated, they'd do a dating scan to see how far along you are and might just go off that.

Because technically if you ovulate/conceive on day 14 of your cycle, you’re already 2 weeks pregnant. As soon as your body stops bleeding it’s preparing itself to be pregnant.

Because every woman ovulates at different times. Even if you THINK you ovulated are a specific time, you could have ovulated early or late. There’s no way to tell exact ovulation much less exact CONCEPTION.
They go by the first date of your last period because it is the most accurate ( not that is accurate but it’s the most accurate you can try to guess) .
At your first appointment you will get an ultrasound and the ultrasound will then adjust how far you are along based on size of the implanted egg, sack etc.
