Bacteria Infection

My doctor said it looked like I had BV at my 8 week doctors visit this week. She said that she wanted to wait until I’m in my second trimester to treat it. My next appointment isn’t until 11/25 and I’ve been having brown discharge and an odor. It seems kind of odd that I have to wait that long and uh, it’s kind of uncomfortable! I have to take like 3 showers a day. It also means no sex because I’m super uncomfortable having sex not knowing what it’s going be like down there. Anyone ever experience this ?
