Right-sided cramping 5 weeks pregnant
I’m currently 5 weeks pregnant with my second baby (I have a 1.5 year old) and have pretty consistent cramping. This isn’t abnormal for me, I’m prone to cramps during my period and fertile week and used to get ovulation pains too. I also remember pretty persistent cramping for the first 12 weeks of my other pregnancy. It’s not the cramps that are concerning me, it’s the fact that they seem to be located primarily on my right-hand side. They aren’t painful at all, just annoying and it makes me anxious that there’s something else going on. I’m not due to see my OB until 7 weeks so won’t actually have my first ultrasound until then. Am I right to assume that unless the pain is severe and coupled with bleeding I’m not likely to be experiencing an ectopic pregnancy?
