Has anyone ever had strep B during pregnancy and what was the experience like during pregnancy and after birth?

My doctor today sent me my results. It came back positive for strep B. Thank God they tested me for it because I know some doctors don’t and I wouldn’t have asked to be tested because I had no idea what’s strep B or that there is a strepB. I’am feeling scared about it. When can you cure it? Can the baby have it already or not yet? I was reading something that it’s better to be cured during birth on IV. If I cure it before it could return. So it’s better to be cured during birth. I’am scared if my baby contracts it now in the womb “God forbid” i’am 37 weeks pregnant today. I was reading what it can cause to a baby if not cured. It can cause sepsis, meningitis, and even cerebral palsy. God forbid to any of that. I will definitely love some advice and facts on this. I feel scared and stressed. I’m currently drinking cephalexin for a skin infection from a piercing. Sucks that I have to take more antibiotics.
