Did you have any sort of medical intervention before / during your labor? (Epidural, induction, IV pain meds, etc)

The ended up slowing my labor by giving me magnesium because my BP was 200/100. They told me that's seizure/stroke territory. They slowed my labor for 24 hours. Then had to induce me during pushing because my sons shoulder got stuck and the contractions weren't strong enough to help me like I needed because of the magnesium. 
If I could go back, I'd have said no to the magnesium. It made everything horrible. It made it so difficult to push and I wasnt allowed to eat while on it so I was beyond exhausted. I also had to wait 24 hours after being off it to eat. 2 days without food while giving birth sucked.  It was like I was half asleep the entire time. 
Plus a failed epidural lol. They probably should have given me a csection.

Yep. I was induced. Then I had an epidural. Then I had iv antibiotics because I developed chorio in my amniotic fluid. Then I was put on oxygen. Then I had a c-section. My whole experience was a big ol' intervention lol.

First I had a sweep and had my daughter 12 hrs later at 41+1.
Second I had a cook balloon inserted overnight to dilate me. Went in the am- was 4 cm. Started oxytocin at 8am. They broke my water at 10am. Had my son at 12:19pm - he got stuck in my pelvic bone and my midwife had to manually help maneuver him out and his arm broke. Had him at 41+1 as well.

I accidentally voted no, but I had an epidural (which only numbed my right side) and the doctor had to use the vacuum to help during my last push. All in all I had an easy labor and delivery though, only 8 hrs.

I tried easing my contractions in my labor room with a whirlpool bath, but at that point they were at their peak. I got an epidural shortly after and after 5 minutes couldn’t feel my contractions at all. I was also then put on Pitocin to get the process going faster since my daughter pooped inside me. One hour later they increased my Pitocin and after 30 minutes I was 10 cm and ready to push. I pushed for an hour, didn’t feel a thing and even the pressure from the contractions wasn’t even uncomfortable. I recommend epidural for sure it make my labor and delivery easy. Although I was out of breath from pushing 😂
