My doctor prescribed me clomid without having the hsg done, but ever doctor is different. 🤷🏼‍♀️

I highly recommend doing the HSG. They were able to unblock my left tube with the dye, I wouldn’t have known I had a blocked tube otherwise. 
It’s not that scary, just feels like bad cramps for maybe 10 seconds and that’s about it💞

My doctor didn’t, although if I’m unsuccessful with clomid I will ask for the HSG dye test bc I want it! It can help clear you out and increase chances of pregnancy

No. For some doctors having an HSG done is just part of standard fertility testing. It shows the doctor if you have any blockages preventing your tubes from working properly. I did have it done as per my doctors orders, but my tubes were both clear. I was prescribed Clomid because I ovulated later and my lp was short (like 9-11) days, not because I had any blockages in my tubes. Clomid wouldn’t be able to fix that.

My Dr. Just had me do ovulation strips for 2 months, when I never got a positive strip he prescribed me clomid.
