Help!! When should I take clomid??

Question

I’ve seen two different doctors and one said to start clomid on day 1 and another said to start it on day 3. I’ve also seen on glow that some women start day 5. 
What’s the difference and when is it best to take it? 
We have been TTC for three years, had a chemical pregnancy in May and this is my second round of clomid.

I tried cd 5-9 for 2 rounds and it did everything it was supposed to ovulation wise (I ovulate on my own, but it made me ovulate slightly earlier and lengthened my lp) but did not help me get pregnant. Took it days 3-7 my third round and that def did the trick because I’m due in June! Good luck and baby dust!✨

First cycle I did 50mgs CDs 1-5 that ended in no ovulation and having to jumpstart my period. TBH I don’t even think I felt anything in my opinion it was to early and clashed with the medication I had to take to make my period come but I’m not a doctor lol that’s just my opinion 
2nd cycle I did 100mgs CDs 5-9 and I must have ovulated because my period came right in schedule as if I were someone with normal cycles. (Didn’t end in pregnancy but I was excited to see AF show with no meds) I did feel mid cycle discomfort which makes me assume I ovulated 
3rd cycle (currently on CD4) I decided to take 100mgs CDs 3-7 I’m hoping it helps 🙏🏼 we shall see what round 3 does.
