Clomid for luteal phase defect?

Hi everyone. My luteal phase is only 7-9 days. My doctor thinks my progesterone is low and ordered Clomid but not progesterone supplements. Has anyone had success with taking only Clomid for short luteal phase? I didn’t have any issues conceiving with my first two babies so this is new for me.

I ovulate on my own. This is my first clomid cycle. Before progesterone was 3.5, this cycle 50.1 with no progesterone supplementation

I ovulate on my own but my lp was only 9-11 days. Dr. put me on Clomid to lengthen it. It was slightly longer when I took is cd 5-9 fr 2 rounds, but I did not get pregnant. Switched to cd 3-7 for my third round and that worked!
