Also, does the dye damage sperm that may be there? I'm getting one done next Monday, but going for a sexy weekend just before it and I'm due to ovulate on the Wednesday so I'm wondering if we DTD on the Sunday, would sperm survive or die because of the iodine dye?

When I had mine I couldn’t have sex for a few days before- can’t remember how many. And if only makes you more fertile if your tubes were blocked and the due breaks the blockage loose. If they are open then it doesn’t increase fertility.

It can make you more fertile only by unblocking your tubes if ones slightly blocked. I’ve heard many ladies get pregnant right after cuz the dye cleared a blocked tube.

Hi ladies, I guess the bit I'm confused about is why can't you have sex before? It will be calendar day 12 for me and after 3 years tracking I know I won't O till day 14 or 15 so I'm wondering why you can't do it before? I wasnt able to have sex the 3 days leading up to it. And I didn't feel good enough after for like a week.

It will wash away any sperm that are in your uterus or tubes so you’ll need to bd once you feel better after the procedure. Some people say it increases fertility, but I think that’s only if there was anything blocking your tubes.
