When to change nipple level!?

My daughter will be 3months in a week.  We don’t have a pediatrician appt until 4months, so I am not sure when to change the nipple level. I know it says 3m+ on the level 2 nipples. She eats 5oz every 4 hours, give or take. It usually takes her 20-30 mins to finish her bottle.

I asked my ped this at her 2 month appt and she said try it out when you think shes really.. If you switch and milks spilling out of her mouth, she might not be ready yet

We swapped over to the size 2 when my LB was about 3 weeks old. He was constantly collapsing the teats and taking forever to finish a bottle. We tried it for a few bottles, thinking if he couldn’t cope we would just go back to the size 1. However he was much better on them, the age on them is just a guide x

I would change the nipples for her now if it’s taking that long to finish a bottle. It was taking my daughter 30mine to finish a bottle with level 1 tommee tippee nipples. I switched her to philips avent natural bottles and they’re size 2 and it takes her 8-10 minutes to finish her 5oz.

Just see how your daughter takes it. We switched ours and she was downing her bottles too fast she puked them all lol. We need a nipple level in between 1 and 2 but at the end of the day I’d rather not be covered in puke.
