Went into L&D for horrible contractions! When should I go back?

Contractions are 2 mins apart and I was sent home because I was only 1 1/2 centimeters and 60% effaced, but was told to go home take a bath, eat and walk to try and progress things. How long after I do those things should I go back? The nurse confirmed I’m in pre term labor, but they won’t admit me unless I am at a 4 😅

It’s not necessarily a time thing.  Pay attention to how you’re feeling, how you’re acting, etc.  When you notice your mood change, typically you’ll have a cervix change too.  So could be an hour or 5 hours.  But stay upright, bounce, walk, etc to help gravity with the work.  Good luck!

Be very happy they didn’t admit you into the hospital. It’s very much easier and comfortable to labor at home. Do lots of walking light squats and sex if you can to speed things up! Definitely eat and try to rest before going back.
