FTM and I’m having such a hard time deciding what to do!

Basically before we had a baby we were comfortable with money. We had enough for our bills, extras, savings, etc with some even left over. If I don’t go back to work we can make it but it will be check to check. We have some in savings, but I don’t want to rely on that. If I do go back to work things will be a little strained with daycare but it’ll be a lot more manageable.

My husband and I are both extremely nervous about putting our 12 week old in daycare. So many things can happen, even accidentally, not to mention the milestones and bonding I’ll miss. I would be working 50-60 hours/week. That’s so much time to be away from her and my heart hurts just thinking about it. Plus we have a routine we are in and I don’t want daycare to mess that up.

I’m also scared if I leave my job I won’t be able to go back once she gets older or if I need to money wise before then. I absolutely love my job and I couldn’t see myself being happy anywhere else. I’d leave on good terms, but that’s no guarantee.

Any moms out there with any advice? What are you doing and how has it worked out for you?
