Do I call animal control?

There is a wild cat that lives in my neighborhood and it’s about fully bald from either mange or ringworm but the poor thing looks miserable. Its eyes are near swollen shut with green mucus coming out of them and it has snot coming out of its nose too. Of course I can try to trap it but I have no idea what to do with it when I do trap it because it will likely attack me because it’s scared. Can I call animal control to come help? Or who should I call to come get this cat? I want to help not cause the poor thing to be euthanized. It’s not hurting anyone it just needs help that’s the whole point. It’s going to start getting really cold very soon and it’s gonna die like that. It’s very sad
