Egg retrieval -> 3 follicles -> 1 egg -> 1 fertilised

Excited but nervous

We have 3 follicles and one is 20mm

Another one 13mm and the last struggler is only 9.

We’ve been given one more menopur and citrodite tonight

Also Ovitrelle...

I had to make a hard choice between between

IUI

and

IVF

but with my diagnosis I am glad to have 3 follicles first go.

So we are going ahead.

UPDATE:

After egg retrieval yesterday I got a call that our one brave and beautiful egg fertilised and is looking and doing as well as it can for now!

I am booked in for Monday afternoon transfer!

Not sure of the quality but here is to more hoping.

I’ve been speaking to my 3 follicles and sending positive energy to that one egg for the past few days!

This may be a miracle given my diagnosis and diminishing ovarian reserve at age 35.

Though I am now a bit more clear as to the protocol which the consultant tried with my diagnosis of DOR (very low AMH 0.86). He told me on Friday that the protocol was mild and aimed at producing one GOOD EGG and that I shouldn’t be disappointed with 3 follicles of which one was matured really early! “All it takes is that one good egg and it’s quality over quantity”

I am now on cyclogest and still taking Tostran - testosterone cream - which was given to me since September to improve the quality of eggs. Maybe that had something to do with quality of the egg.
