Advice on questions for doctor

Hi all!

I’m wondering how to start a convo with my doctor about HOW the birth will go. I’m sure people decide this way before 24 weeks and after multiple OBGYN appointments but I am a ftm and had no idea what I was doing. I’m now interested in having more options than my mom did. I don’t want to birth on my back if it doesn’t feel right and I don’t really want to be induced unless there are serious problems. I’m afraid he will be defensive because he has been doing this job for so long.
