Horrible Dr Appt

This past week I had a first appointment at 5w3d with a new doctor since my last has left her practice to teach. This new dr came highly recommended. I told her office I needed my annual & just confirmed pregnancy. They told me to come in & I questioned why now & not closer to 8 wk like normal. They said this is what the dr does. I told them I could only do morning & had to leave by 10am this week or could come in next week any time. They scheduled me & told me I would be out on time.

It was bad from the sign in. The receptionist wanted a copay which I don't pay for an annual. She said I had to, okay fine as long as I'm not paying $50 just to pee in a cup. I did pee in a cup which I expected. Then waited...waited. Finally called back. Nursed asked me questions, some multiple times asking if I was sure about this or that....yep. Dr comes in and more of the same, but confirms I'm pregnant, duh. Still questions my answers though and my past pregnancy. Which I didn't appreciate at all. She asked why I was frustrated & I told her because I came in for an annual & did exactly what I didn't want to do paid $50 to pee in a cup. I already knew I was pregnant why come in just to talk? Then as I'm ready to leave she tells me she wants a blood draw. I told her if it wouldn't take long as I only had 5 minutes. She gets mad a me. When I told her what the scheduler said she again gets mad at me saying they shouldn't say that because they don't know what she does. Like it was all my fault. I left the office crying. It was awful. I'm calling a new doctor on Monday who I am assured doesn't do that.

Oh and apparently the mean dr only sees pregnant patients on the first visit & maybe some at the end & at delivery. The rest of the time you see the nurse practitioner. Wtf?
