Please someone help!

So I’m finally seeing a fertility specialist to try to get pregnant second time. Long story short, I got my period October 22 and I bled about2 days heavy and 3 days spotting. She did an ultrasound yesterday and said my uterus has a thick lining that my period wasn’t a period or a full period. She didn’t really explain what that means so if anyone can help me understand this please do. I also had an hystreosalpingogram done last week on the 29th and she said I have irregular ovulation.
