Can you get tested again at 39 weeks for gestational diabetes?

I’am really scared because the last time I got tested it was in aug. It has been 3 months now. I passed my first one but I feel scared because for 3 months I got this super sugar crave. That everyday I’ll have at least one or two sugar Snapple drinks or some kind of sweet. Can having a lot of sugar for 3 months straight cause me gestational diabetes? And can you even get tested for it again being so close at birth? 39 weeks

It doesn't matter much at this point because you're due any time and baby won't pack on much extra weight, plus I'm sure your dr is measuring your belly. That's mainly what matters. If you're concerned you can just watch your diet a little, but really I don't think it'll make much difference

Gestational diabetes goes away after birth so testing you now wouldn't make a difference. If you genuinely feel worried, cut back on your sugar and carbs a bit. That would likely be the treatment anyway.

I got tested at 38+5 with my little boy due to weight gain. I didn't even get the results until afyer birth as he came at 39+3 😂

Craving sugar isn't much of a correlation to GD. Unless your doctor has shown concern, dont stress it. And i don't think they would test that close to you being due, but im not sure.
