My baby’s cord bled a little bit, because it got snagged on his clothing or the diaper had rubbed up on it, within 24hrs of it popping off.

My baby umbilical coed was just like this and I was scared but my cousin told me to wipe it with rubbing alcohol. But I will still check with the pediatrician to make sure.￼

One day after I posted this picture, the cord actually fell off.
It looks like this now. What are your thoughts??
Should I still go in to the pediatrician?

My girl had a small spot of blood on her onesie where her umbilical cord is. I think it’s preparing to fall off. And there’s no more bleeding now.

I’d see the dr. Both my babies had there’s fall off at about a week to a week and a half. My sons never bled but my daughters did a tiny bit the day it fell off

I would see the pediatrician. My baby boys fell at almost 2 weeks.

I would check with the pediatrician just because sometimes they need a little help coming off. I think it’s supposed to fall off around 2 weeks (not positive) but i would just check to make sure!
