I am 20 years old and I go to college 2.5 hours away. I am a second year nursing student and I have an apartment leased for next year. I started dating my boyfriend 7 months ago and he’s amazing. Like he’ll do anything to make me happy. My parents are helicopter parents. They have the Life360 app for me, my 16 y/o sister, and my 22 y/o brother. My mom does not like my boyfriend because he doesn’t go to college and she doesn’t want me to live the rest of my life around the place I go to school. In the summer, she told me I wasn’t ever allowed to go to his house because I haven’t met his family yet. Well he’s the oldest of 6 kids and his parents are always working, so it’s hard to meet up with them somewhere. I hacked the app I went over there after our 6 months. It was great and his family really likes me! Well I’ve went over there a lot after that and I made a slip up. My app wasn’t closed when I turned my signal off and it showed me near his house. My parents found out this morning. They’re threatening to pull me out of school and to make me transfer. Then they realized they can’t take me out themselves and they are now threatening to pull my loans! My boyfriend said he’d help pay them off, but I’m so scared. I don’t know what to do! My family has completely turned against me even though they’ve all lied to an even greater magnitude than I did. I’m just so afraid because I am not at a place in my life that I can go financially all by myself. I just need help. I have severe anxiety. I need advice to get through this.
