Every ultrasound I had, starting at 14 weeks, baby was sucking his thumb. At birth (33 weeks) he sucked his thumb. The nicu gave him a pacifier to help strengthen his jaw and prevent reflux and bradycardia episodes. So I’ve been pushing that and always take the thumb out of his mouth and give him the pacifier.

He loves his thumb soooo much so I’m starting to get tempted to give in. He finds it while napping and can soothe himself back to sleep with it, but I always removed it and put the pacifier in.

I just know I’ll really regret it when he’s older and I can’t take the thumb away 😫
