How old was your baby when they started daycare (NOT with a family member or friend)?

Please comment if they are attending full time or part time. FTM here and I’m nervous about sending my baby to daycare. Wondering if I should send her once a week before I go back to work at the end of December just to try it out.

My husband quit his job to be a stay at home dad. Money will be tight on only my salary but my job provides us all with health insurance and we’ll just be careful with money until baby is old enough for school and my husband can go back to work.

We got lucky and have family helping through the holidays because i have to go back Dec 9th. So my LO will be going to daycare part time (mon &tues) starting Jan 6th, and will be 19 weeks.

Mine started full time a few days before reaching 10 weeks. I sent him three days the week before to practice the routine (especially because I have a 2 year old too).Of course I'd rather have him with me still at this point, but he is doing great there.

Mine got a spot really early so around 8 weeks I’ve been bringing him once a week since I’m paying for it. I go back to work in January.

I’m in NC, I put the baby on the waiting list for the center I wanted when I was 9 weeks pregnant

I live in Mobile Alabama and it’s crazy some day cares don’t have a spot till January and February. So I got a spot and took it. My original day care I wanted I am still on the waiting list for it and I put my name on the waiting list when I 4 months pregnant. My baby is now two months old lol

Are you both in the bay area (since it's crazy here with daycare). We have a similar situation where he starts first week of December but I don't go back to work till mid January and the daycare only does full time.

Also so glad I did this cause I was a wreck I sat in the parking lot and cried my eyes out for a solid 5 minutes then cried all the way home and randomly for the 3 hours. I actually went home and cleaned her room lol. My LO is 11 weeks.

My son stayed with a friend from 10-12 weeks and then he started daycare. He’s been there for a little over a week and doing great. I personally know the owner and one of his classroom teachers though so my situation is a little different.
