My little guy has plenty of age appropriate toys, but for some reason he always finds an “object of the day” to obsess over. Sometimes it’s a sponge, my husbands wireless bbq thermometer base, his Nosefrida (which we don’t use anymore), my Dyson vacuum filter, a comb, a cooking spatula, etc. I’m just curious if anyone else’s toddlers do this? He will literally take this object everywhere with him for a day, and only “share” it with his baby doll, but he’ll get very upset if I try to take it away. By the next day he usually finds a new object to obsess over. I just never realized a dry sponge or anything else could be so special 🤷🏼‍♀️
