Is queso fresco okay to eat pregnant ?

I want to make enchiladas tonight for dinner and my mom used to make it with just cheese and onion. She uses queso fresco from the store. When I googled it it says no queso fresco but I’ve seen some women eat it while pregnant? I’m 17 weeks

It’s made from unpasteurized milk so it’s considered a no no

Check the label and see if it’s made from pasteurized milk. Pasteurized means it’s ok! 
Unpasteurized is the kind that can have listeria. As I understand it is a pretty low risk anyway, up to you and your doc what kinds of things you’re ok with if it’s unpasteurized.

You can make it super easily with pasteurized milk from the store and then you can eat that lol all you need is milk and vinegar  to make it. Super simple. I make cheese for fun 🧀😝
