Post laparoscopy period

Two months ago, I had my first laparoscopic surgery for endo. I started my period the day of surgery (right afterward actually), and it wasn't too bad (aside from some bad cramps initially, but I was used to that). My second period was tough but still tolerable. I'm currently on my 5th day of my third period, and am doing ok now, but really struggled at first.

A few days before this period started, I was having a lot of "surgery pain" again. The ovary where my cyst was removed was extremely sore again, as well as my other ovary and all around my pelvic and incision areas. I'm guessing my period causes a lot more inflammation, which was making it more painful. My cramps were awful, and I've been even more heavy than usual. Not so heavy to cause concern, but it does seem to be lasting longer than usual and is still bright red (by day 5, I usually have a pretty light flow of older blood).

Anyone else deal with this around your 2nd or 3rd cycle after surgery? Did it get better, or worse, or stay the same? The weird surgery pains I'm feeling makes me a little concerned, but I'm trying to tell myself it's just inflammation, and because of my cycle, it won't be a straight line to recovery.

Really hoping to feel normal again soon 🤞
