Sweeping membranes induce labor? Does it work? 39 weeks

Today I got checked I am 1cm dilated.. My doctor sweeped my membranes. I am hoping this works! If I dont go into labor by next week they will schedule me to he induced Black Friday... Anyone have this done and it help?

I had it done with my first, went for an intense long walk, did squats afterwards and went into labor that night.

I had it done with my daughter I was 40 weeks 1 day and 2cm went into labor the next morning and had her it all depends on the person hopefully it works for you

I had a membrane sweep done on Tuesday, 2cm dilated at 40+2 days and absolutely nothing😔. No change at all so I’m booked to be induced next Thursday. Xx
